Four soldiers of The Gambian Armed Forces were arrested on Tuesday the 20th, after the government foiled what they are calling an attempted coup against President Adama Barrow.
“Based on intelligence reports … some soldiers of the Gambian army were plotting to overthrow the democratically elected government,” – From the government statement released on Wednesday
The government said they are presently pursuing three others who were allegedly involved in the coup attempt, and investigations are ongoing.
