The Kremlin’s comments on Zelenskyy’s visit to DC

The spokesman for the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov made some interesting but not surprising statements on Zelenskyy’s visit to DC.

The core of Peskov’s comments is the accusation that there were no talks of peace during Zelenskyy’s meetings with U.S. officials.

Peskov said, “As far as we are concerned: of course, we followed this, we got acquainted with all the incoming information. So far, we can state with regret the fact that neither President Biden nor President Zelenskyy has said at least some words, which could be perceived as, let’s say, a potential willingness to listen to Russia’s concerns”.

Peskov went on to say that US officials gave Zelenskyy no warning about his “barbaric shelling of residential buildings in the settlements of Donbas”.

He finished by pointing out the absence of any calls for peace in the conflict.
