Some really bizarre and corny propaganda made using AI deep fakes has popped up on social media.
The people in the propaganda video introduce themselves as American nationals who believe in Pan-Africanism.
These “American nationals” then voice support for the current military junta in control of Burkina Faso.

The videos were apparently bouncing around WhatsApp before they spilled over to Twitter after journalists caught wind of it.
It is likely that the videos were not intended to make their way to western social media.
