Biden says United States has No Plans to Send F-16s to Ukraine

When asked if the United States had any plans to supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets in the near future, United States President Joe Biden simply replied “no.”

Ukraine has been pushing for the US to equip it with F-16 multirole fighters to continue its fight against Russian forces and establish air superiority, however, the US has been reluctant as they do not want the aircraft to be used to strike targets inside of Russia.

The Netherlands, which operates 40 F-16s, and Lockheed Martin’s chief operating officer Frank St. John have both suggested they are open to such an idea of supplying Ukraine with the aircraft, however, they would need permission from the White House, which as we know now is a negative.
