According to Michigan State University Police:
- Shooting began at 8:18 at Berkey Hall, several victims located
- Second shooting happened in front of MSU Union
- Suspect, said to be a short Black male, was last scene running on foot from Union
- Suspect still at large
- Police confirm five victims, some with life threatening injuries
From footage taken from campus shows at least one of the victims was killed in front of the MSU Union building. This was not confirmed by authorities, although it has also been reported by local media.
