Several FDNY Firefighters Injured, 4-Alarm Fire, Staten Island

At approximately 1300 EST, reports began to emerge of a residential structure fire on the 80 Block of Shotwell Avenue, Staten Island, New York.

By 1400, the fire was elevated to a second alarm and by 1500 it was a third alarm. By 1500, reports began to emerge of partial collapse at the residential structure and at least two firefighters had been rescued from the rubble. At least three more were listed as critically injured and a total of twenty had been injured.

As of 1700 EST, the fire was under control and firefighters were securing the scene. This is developing.
