U.S. Troops Injured in ISIS Raid, Key Militant Killed

United States Central Command CENTCOM has announced that four American service members have been wounded in a raid against ISIS which killed senior leader al-Fadgham. The officials message reads below:

At approximately 2000 EST last night, reports began to emerge of U.S. helicopter activity near Sabha and Briha in Deir Ezzor, Syria. Gunfire was reported by locals as coalition forces raided the home of the militant. By 0300 EST, local sources claimed that Muhannad Al-Saray Al-Fadgham, one of the former ISIS emirs, has been killed in a raid. This CENTCOM report seems to corroborate that claim, though the differing names may be a case of confused aliases.
