ISIS Leader Killed by Taliban in Kabul

Ejaz Ahmad Ahangar, a key Islamic State figure in India and Pakistan, was killed during a Taliban raid in Kabul on February 14, according to pro-ISIS channels.

Ahangar was one of the main forces behind establishing an ISIS presence specifically Jammu and Kashmir, leading recruiting efforts within the Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) and helping form Islamic State Hind (ISHP) as its first Emir. He has also been a leader within Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) for the past several years in their media operations. Ahangar was captured in 2020, but escaped Bagram during the Taliban takeover in 2021.
