GRAPHIC: Nine Chinese Nationals Killed at Gold Mine, Central African Republic

According to the mayor of Bambara, nine Chinese nationals were killed at a “Gold Kauss Group” gold mine in the village of Chimbolo, about 25km from Bombari. While that specific company name does not populate on a publicly available information search, the mayor claims this group is a Chinese subsidiary.

The attack occurred sometime in the morning of March 19th, when unidentified gunmen entered the village and began rounding up the Chinese nationals in what appears to be a targeted attack. There is no word yet on if the men were robbed. Two others have been injured.
