The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that the Green Village base in northeastern Syria was targeted by a rocket attack, however there were no casualties. The attack is consistent with previous rocket launches by Iran-backed militias in the area.
This comes as an American contractor was killed and another was wounded, along with five United States servicemen, during a suspected Iran-backed militia drone strike in Hasakah. The US responded with a series of airstrikes targeting Iran-backed militia targets.
