Authorities have identified the Nashville shooter, who killed three children and three staff at the Covenant School, as 28 year old Audrey Hale. Nashville Police Chief John Drake also reported that Hale identified as male, going by the name “Aiden.”
The Covenant School is a small, private Presbyterian school for preschool through sixth grade located in Nashville’s Green Hills neighborhood.
Officials have stated earlier that Hale, who was killed by responding authorities, was a resident of the area and previously attended the school, but it remains unclear how long ago. Authorities also initially reported that the suspect appeared to have been a “teenage girl,” but have since corrected their statement.
