Suicide Bombing Kills 6 Near Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul

At least six people were killed and over a dozen others were left wounded, including Taliban fighters, after a suspected Islamic State– Khorasan Province (ISKP) suicide bomb detonated near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul on Monday.

Khalid Zadran, spokesman for Kabul security forces, reported that the blast occurred at a security checkpoint leading to the Ministry building in Malik Azghar Square. He explained that Taliban forces at the checkpoint stopped and identified the bomber, who detonated before he could reach the Ministry.

In January, ISKP launched a similar attack not too far from where today’s was, which killed 13 and wounded over two dozen people.
