Lebanon PM Opposes Military Escalation from its Country

Lebanon Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated that his country “firmly opposes any military escalation on its territory and the use of its territory in a way that would shake stability,” adding that “the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces will increase the investigations to find out the circumstances and to stop the operations.”

This comes as 34 rockets were fired into Israel from southern Lebanon, the most since 2006. The IDF blamed Hamas for the strikes, which left one person wounded.
