Wagner Group head Yevegeny Prigozhin reported that Russian VDV forces have bolstered the flanks in Bakhmut, allowing for PMCs to concentrate their efforts in pushing into remaining areas of the city under Ukrainian control.
#Russia continues to make gains in #Bakhmut, ISW, a US thinktank, says in its latest update.

Prigozhin also said that the regular Russian troops, who have largely been uninvolved in the Bakhmut campaign, will focus on defense to prevent Ukrainian counter attacks.
Russian forces control about 75% of the city and have formed a deep cauldron around the western sections of the city. With fresh Russian forces along the flanks to bolster defenses, PMCs can regroup and form a combined assault against frontline Ukrainian positions.
