North Korean Missile Lands in Ocean, No Threat to Hokkaido

Japanese authorities have reported that the North Korean missile that was launched towards the Sea of Japan has passed outside of Japan’s Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ) and landed in the ocean, no longer posing a threat to Hokkaido.

Following the launch, a J-Alert was issued for the area for residents to seek shelter as it was initially believed the missile could land in or around the area.
