Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has released a statement saying that “After today’s terrorist attack, there are no options left other than the physical elimination of Zelensky and his clique.”
This comes as Russia accused Ukraine of attempting to assassinate President Vladimir Putin after the Kremlin was purportedly targeted by two explosive drones overnight. The Russian military said that both drones were intercepted by electronic warfare means, however, footage shows that at least one of the drones detonated within the walls of the Kremlin. No injuries or serious damage was reported.
Ukraine has denied involvement, with presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak stating that “Ukraine has nothing to do with drone attacks on the Kremlin. We do not attack the Kremlin…it is extremely unfavorable in terms of preparing our offensive actions.” He also dismissed the incident as “staged” to “justify massive strikes on Ukrainian cities, civilians, and infrastructure.”
