Wagner head Yevgeny Prigozhin has accused Russian Defense Ministry Sergei Shoigu of “specifically arriving to Rostov to carry out an operation to destroy PMC Wagner,” adding that artillery and aviation assets were used.
Earlier, Prigozhin accused Russian forces of attacking Wagner forces near Bakhmut, claiming that there were heavy casualties. While having vowed revenged, he released a statement to his Telegram saying that Wagner’s response “is no military coup,” rather “a march for Justice. Our actions do not interfere with the army in any way”.
