Artsakh MoD Accuses Azerbaijan of Drone Strike, Killing 4

The Artsakh Ministry of Defence has accused Azerbaijan of using a UAV to attack a group of their soldiers, claiming the attack has killed 4 soldiers, today at 1:30AM local time. The alleged strike comes one day after Azerbaijan accused Artsakh troops of firing at one of their soldiers, wounding him, an allegation that the Artsakh government has denied. The Artsakh MoD’s statement may be read below, Azerbaijan has yet to release a statement.

Note that while the Armenian to English translation says artillery, the attack was said to have been carried out by a drone.

“On June 28, from 01:30, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from artillery means in the direction of the Armenian positions of Martuni and Martakert, also using ATS. The Armenian side has 4 victims. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Artsakh will make an additional statement”.
