Russian Army General Sergey Surovikin Reportedly Arrested

According to Moscow Times, Russian Army General Sergey Surovikin, former commander of all Russian forces in Ukraine and current commander of the Russian Aerospace Forces has been arrested after hours of rumors concerning his reported disappearance. The Kyiv Post was first to report his dissaperance earlier today:

“A Report has appeared on the “Ukraine” Telegram channel, quoting the Russian rosZMI media channel, that Surovikin was arrested on the evening of June 27 and is detained in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention centre along with his deputy, Colonel-General Andriy Yudin.”

The Moscow Times seems to have confirmed this initial reporting. He has reportedly been arrested due to having forewarning of the Wagner rebellion and allowing it to happen.
