Ukraine to Receive F-16s by End of Year

During an interview with Fox News, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Ukraine would receive F-16 fighter jets by the end of the year.

While the United States will not be supplying the jets, officials stated back in May that they would not block exports or the training of Ukrainian pilots by allied countries to “support mid- and long-term defense needs, rather than defense in the short term…”

So far it remains unclear where the aircraft will be sourced from, although Poland has previously signaled its readiness to do so as it receives replacement F-35 fighters.
