Drone Attack on Moscow Damages Business High-Rise, Third Attack this Week

Drone attack in Moscow tonight, Russian MOD reports three Ukrainian loitering munition/kamikaze drones taken down, two taken down with electronic interference reportedly, one shot down.

The high-rise struck by one drone was reportedly a mixed commercial and residential building, the floor struck was claimed by Ukrainian sources to be offices of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Two drones reportedly hit the business district in total. This was the fourth such Ukrainian attempt at a strike on the capital Russian region this month, and the third this week.

“Ukrainian drones attacked tonight. Facades of two city office towers were slightly damaged,” Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin posted on Telegram. The TASS state news agency reported that the capital’s Vnukovo airport was “closed for departures and arrivals, flights are redirected to other airports” before it started resuming normal traffic after.
