Zelensky Expected to Meet with Biden During U.S. Visit

Date:

Volodymyr Zelensky is set to visit the U.S. next week and is expected to hold a meeting with President Biden. It also expected he will make a trip to Capitol Hill to visit with Congress members and lobby for another aid package to be sent to Ukraine.

A month ago, President Biden had urged Congress to send another $24Bn to aid Ukraine’s fight against Russia. This month it seems many of the U.S. leaders are beginning to be disgruntled with Ukraine’s slow progress and increasingly less likely to be willing to send more aid.

The most recent aid package included $1Bn and depleted uranium tank shells which had previously been denied to be sent to Ukraine.
