Update (2022 EST): Eyewitnesses have spotted a U.S. Apache attack helicopter on the ground near Wanapum Dam after reportedly striking high tension transmission lines over the Columbia River. The helicopter appears to have sustained non-catastrophic damage. U.S. army personnel can be spotted on scene. The crew status has not been disclosed.
According to initial reports, a military helicopter has crashed after colliding with power transmission lines in Beverly, Washington.
The Grant County Sheriff's Office is reporting that a military helicopter crashed into high-voltage transmission lines near Beverly. Lines are down in the Columbia River and across SR 243, which is closed. More detail to come as we can get it.
