·An IDF spokesperson has said fighting is ongoing in southern Israel with Palestinian Gaza based militant forces. As of now it is estimated around 1,000 fighters crossed over the Gaza Strip border on Saturday.
IDF Spokesperson Col Jonathan Conricus also said a significant number of hostages were taken during these attacks, some Israeli news outlets have speculated that the number of hostages could be up to 100. Among those seized, while primarily Israeli civilians and soldiers, may also have reportedly been some Palestinian civilians. A number of foreign citizens are thought to have been likely taken hostages, including those attending a local trance concert/rave festival taking place next to the Gaza Strip that was attacked.
At that concert it is reported by Israeli state-run emergency volunteer group Zaka, that 260 bodies were recovered following the attack.
