Drone Attack on Civilians in Michoacan, Mexico


Initial reports of a drone attack on a chapel and a home in the towns of Presa del Rosario and El Alcalde in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. Milenio is reporting that the attack likely would have been the criminal group Los Viagras who have been targeting civilians in the region. There are no reports of injuries or casualties as of yet.

Cartels have been increasingly using drones to displace civilians from areas in Mexico. Improvised explosives are attached to commercial drones for relatively cheap and the drones are easily accessible.
