At 0630 EST, the Egyptian government announced that it has established a humanitarian aid collection point at Al-Arish Airport in Cairo. This aid point was diesgned to recieve all international aid to cvilians in the Gaza Strip. However, due to the large infux of civilians to Rafah, whihc is the sole crossing point between Egypt and Gaza, and Israeli airstrikes in the vicnity of Rafah, the border is currently closed. The Egyptian government has vowed to not allow another run on the border corssin such as happened in 2006 durng the last Gaza war.

Since opening this aid collection point, Jordan has already selivered aid. The delivery was facilitated by the Red Crescent.
