At 2300 EST on October 11th, 2023, tornado warnings were issued throughout the Tampa Bay Area and in three different counties, including Marion, Citrus and Pinellas. At least two tornadoes touched down in Clearwater. More than 32 warnings were issued throughout the night.

Emergency management teams are on the ground in Clearwater and so far there have been no confirmed deaths or even injures.

A standing tornado watch has been issued for Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Manatee Counties until 1500 EST today.
