The Lebanese media outlet Al- Akhbar News has reported that three Lebanese soldiers were wounded by an Israeli airstrike near their position in Jabal Balat, which sits directly on the Israeli border.
In recent days, clashes between the IDF and Hezbollah have increased dramatically along the northern border. With this, Lebanese positions have been hit, but had not resulted in any casualties.
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that “We have no interest in a war in the north [against Hezbollah]. We don’t want to escalate the situation.” This comes as the IDF is preparing for a large-scale ground assault against Hamas in Gaza.
