U.S. Forces Face More Drone Strikes in Iraq

US forces residing in al-Harir air base which is located within Iraq’s northern Kurdistan region faced drone attacks on Friday following heightened tensions with Islamic Resistance forces within the country due to the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

US forces have faced similar drone attacks by the Islamic Resistance earlier this week, having been attacked with three other drones on Wednesday, which led to “minor injuries to coalition forces,” according to the U.S. Central Command.

No injuries have been reported at this time, while both drones have been intercepted by the base’s defense systems, Al Arabiya News reports.

The Islamic Resistance, however, claims both drones “directly hit their targets” in a statement issued earlier today.
