The IDF has carried out an “unusual and extensive” ground raid against Hamas positions inside of Gaza tonight, likely signaling a probing attack ahead of Israel’s planned ground assault against the region.
In preparation for the next stages of combat, the IDF operated in northern Gaza.
IDF tanks & infantry struck numerous terrorist cells, infrastructure and anti-tank missile launch posts.

According to Israeli military correspondant Doron Kadosh:
Tonight, the IDF carried out an unusual and extensive ground raid of infantry and armored forces inside the Gaza Strip. The raid was larger in scope and depth inside Gaza. Its purpose is to attack Hamas targets from within the Strip, and to strengthen the defense. This is a more extensive operation than the raids carried out so far in the last two weeks in the Gaza Strip.
