Islamic Resistance Releases Footage of Strike Against US Base, Syria

The Islamic Resistance of Iraq, an Iran-backed Shia Muslim militia group, released a statement in which the group claimed to have targeted the American “Tal Baidar” base located to the west of Hasakah, northern Syria, on Sunday.

The group released the statement alongside a video of the attack on their personal Telegram channel. The group utilized drones in their attack; however, they did not state the amount used in the attack. The group further claimed the attack “directly hit” their target, a claim commonly refuted by the United States Central Command.

This is the most recent attack on US forces claimed by the Islamic Resistance. You can read more about the attacks here.

The Statement Reads Below:

“In the name of God, the most Gracious, the most Merciful, permission has been given to those who fight because they have been wronged, and indeed, God is able to grant them victory. The Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the American occupation base, “Tal Baidar,” west of the Syrian city of Hasakah, with drones, and it was directly hit. Victory is only from God. Indeed, God is Mighty, All-Wise.”
