According to the Latvian Ministry of Defense an unspecified Russian aircraft violated Latvian airspace:
“Yesterday, November 6, the radar of the Air Force of the National Armed Forces (NBS) recorded a violation of Latvian airspace on the border between Latvia and Russia by a Russian aircraft. After illegally crossing the border, the aircraft returned to Russian territory…necessary actions to prevent any threat to Latvia’s security were taken…operational information was sent to NATO.”
The Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs then confirmed that the Russian ambassador to Latvia was summoned to answer for the incursion.
