Casualties Reported in United States Airstrikes Against Iran-Backed Militia Targets

At least five members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, an umbrella organization of Iran-backed militias in Iraq, have reportedly been killed in American airstrikes near Jurf al-Nasr, according to Sabereen News.

Earlier this evening, US CENTCOM reported that airstrikes were carried out against two unspecified facilities in Iraq “in direct response to the attacks against U.S. and Coalition forces by Iran and Iran-backed groups, including the one in Iraq on November 21, which involved use of close-range ballistic missiles.”
