The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff have reported that North Korea attempted to launch a ballistic missile, however, it is presumed to have failed, according to Yonhap.
This comes one day after North Korea successfully launched a military spy satellite into orbit after two previously failed attempts.
It remains unclear at this time if this latest launch was a fourth satellite launch attempt as North Korea has pledged to continue to send satellites into orbit.
