Protests have broken out in Dublin, Ireland, after a stabbing earlier today outside of a school which left 5 people, including the attacker and 3 children, injured.
Protestors began to gather at the site of the stabbing and have began to clash with police. Footage circulating online shows several police cars having been set on fire, as well as people directly attacking riot police. Additionally, several public transportation vehicles have also been lit on fire, including a tram and a bus.

It is not 100% certain what exactly began the riot, however it would appear a number of the people have gathered after rumours originating from Irelands ´National Party’ claimed that the attacker was a migrant. Garda (Ireland’s police service) commissioner Drew Harris stated that “We have a complete lunatic hooligan faction driven by far-right ideology, and also then this disruptive tendency engaged in serious violence”.
