Brazilian delegates have announced that the country will join the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), effective January 1, 2024.
Today, Brazil stands as the largest oil producer in South America, the sixth largest oil producer in the world.
Brazil has signaled, however, that it will not commit to any OPEC production cuts.
