Ecuadorian media is reporting that Colin Armstrong, the Honorary Consul in Ecuador’s Guayaquil, has been released after being kidnapped the morning of December 16th.

It is unclear at this time if any arrests have been made in connection with his kidnapping.
Armstrong was kidnapped off of his farm nearby Guayaquil in the early hours of the 16th by thus far unknown actors.
