Egypt Election Results Arrive

Egypt’s election authority today reported the results of Egypt’s December 10th-12th election, reporting an overwhelming majority for incumbent President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Sisi won with 89.6% of the vote with a record 66.8% voter turnout. The runner-up, Hazem Omar, received a mere 4.5% of the vote.

Sisi heads into his third term as President, after taking power in 2013.
