As this publication reported earlier today, an active shooter situation resulted in several wounded and killed at Perry High School in Perry, Iowa. It is now confirmed that one victim (6th grader) was killed along with the shooter (17-year old). A undetonated IED was found by police during a subsequent search of the crime scene. Five others were injured including an administrator who is said to be Dan Marburger, the principal.
The Iowa Governor extended her condolences to the victims.
