Ecuadorian media has reported that Ecuadorian gangs have additionally attacked the Teodoro Maldonado hospital, and taken several doctors hostage.

There is no word on specifically how many doctors were taken. The hospital joins a quickly growing list of institutions attacked by Ecuador’s gangs in the last day, including a TV station (which was broadcasting live), a university, and several prisons. Hostages were taken at each.
