Ecuador’s National Police Force has confirmed that they have successfully stormed and secured the TCTelevision station and freed the crew after the station was earlier stormed by gang members, and the crew taken hostage, all while on live television.

The police carried out a series of arrests of the gang members who had seized the TV station, and stated they would later release further details.
