Israel Ministry of Health Orders Hospitals to Prepare for Fight with Hezbollah

The Israeli Ministry of Health has ordered hospitals to be prepared for the potential of increased clashes with Hezbollah in Lebanon and “to receive thousands of casualties in a short time,” according to the Israeli media outlet Kann.

The development comes amid Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah leadership in southern Lebanon, in which Hezbollah has vowed retaliation. Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah along the Lebanese border have been ongoing since October 7, where over 150 Hezbollah fighters have been killed. The recent strikes, however, have further raised fears of escalation and a larger northern front being opened up.
