A Belgium Flixbux going between Lille and Brussels on Thursday was stopped by police and searched after a passenger called in to say they had overheard three riders discussing explosives and an attack. The bus was diverted and three suspects are currently being held and interrogated according to Sudinfo Belgium.
Those 46 passengers on the bus had to exit with their hands raised and luggage was swept for explosives but nothing was found. “It is not clear whether this was a real threat. This will have to be determined based on the interrogations of the suspects and the investigative duties,” was the statement from Lisa De Wilde, a prosecutor for the East Flanders province.
