Update (2101 EST): The situation has been declared under control by responding FDNY units. The plane suffered a flameout and returned to the gate. Plane has been identified as Jet Blue Flight 3155. The report reads below:
”D-13: The aircraft in question experienced a flame out of the engine upon ignition, it has returned to the gate – We have no patients – Under Control”
At approximately 2030 EST, a plane ran off the runway at JFK airport in New York City, New York. A second-alarm incident was declared by the FDNY and units are responding and staging. As of this post, it appears that the aircraft has returned to the gate and did not suffer a catastrophic incident. This is developing.
