Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturer Compromised by Lockbit3.0 Ransomware

Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc. (FITI), a Taiwanese semiconductor company, has been targeted by Lockbit3.0 ransomware group. The group allegedly stole 5TB of data.

The following screenshots reflect the defacement of the public-facing website. As of this publication, the defacment is still live.

FITI is not to be confused with Foxconn which is the world’s electronics manufacturing company. According to Bloomberg the company has around 600 employees and ”develops, designs, manufactures and sells semi-conductor equipment and system assemblies. The Company manufactures thin film transistors (TFT), liquid crystal displays (LCDs), and semiconductor wafers.”
