The crew of the British oil tanker Marlin Luanda have reportedly abandoned ship due to damage and a fire caused by a Houthi missile strike earlier today in the Gulf of Aden, officials tell ABC.
If confirmed, this would mark the first Houthi missile strike to result in the loss of a commercial vessel since attacks began in November.
The Houthis have claimed responsibility for the strike, but so far there are no official statements by the United States or United Kingdom.
