On February 3rd, the Indian military accounced that 50 nations will participate in the upcoming MILAN-2024 exercise, making it the largest iteration ever held.
The exercise will run from February 19th to 27th at the city of Visakhapatnam located on India’s western coast.
The nations that will participate include France, Great Britain, the United States, Timor Leste, and Tonga.
The exercise illustrates how India is acting on its Act East Policy and Security and Growth for All in the Region initiative to become more involved in the Indo-Pacific region.
