Ronna McDaniel Plans To Step Down As RNC Chairwoman

Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), is reportedly set to resign from her role shortly after the South Carolina primary in late February, according to the New York Times.

Two sources familiar with her plans disclosed to the outlet that McDaniel has informed former President Donald Trump of her decision. Amidst criticism from Trump and other GOP figures, it’s said that Trump will endorse Michael Whatley, chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, as McDaniel’s successor.
