Hezbollah Will Halt Attacks on Israel if Hamas Agrees to a Truce

On February 27, it was reported that the Lebanese-based terror group, Hezbollah, would halt attacks on Israel, if Hamas, the Gaza-based terror group, agreed to a truce with Israel.

Hezbollah and Israel have engaged in border skirmishes since October 8, a day after Hamas launched its massive terror attack in southern Israel. This attack led to the deaths of an estimated 1,200 people. This is the largest terror attack in Israel’s history.

In response, Israel launched Operation Swords of Iron, a military operation to eliminate Hamas. Since October 7, there have been 28,000 Palestinian fatalities from that operation.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant indicated that Israel planned to increase attacks on Hezbollah in the event of a possible ceasefire in the Gaza conflict, according to Reuters.
