Chad Will Provide Water and Electricity to Its Citizens Until the Year’s End

The Government of Chad has announced a policy to provide water and electricity to its citizens for the remainder of the current year. The initiative, approved by Interim President Mahamat Déby and supported by Finance Minister Tahir Hamid Nguilin, aims to assist households, as stated in a joint release by the President and the Minister of Finance today.

Additionally, the government pledges to clear any debts citizens may have accumulated related to their water and electricity usage. The budget allocated for this project is capped at 15,000 liters of water and 300 kWh of electricity for each monthly household consumption.
